The new 3.5 version of the Web Performance Suite is
now ready to download!
New Load Testing Features
At Web Performance we believe in continual improvement based on customer feedback, and this release includes a slew of new features. The improved load testing report adds a navigation column to exported reports, making it easy to quickly get to any part of an exported report, either locally, or when accessed from a web server.
The new scalable think times feature takes the recorded think times and varies them to make
for a more realistic load. There are dozens more new features and bug fixes, including improved Vista support, improved report performance, internationalization, and regular expression extractors.

details on
the new features.
Zero Footprint Load Engines
Running very large load tests requires using more than one computer to
generate the load, but installing and configuring software on multiple
computers can take up valuable testing time. With a zero-footprint load
engine the test computer is booted from a CD and the computer
automatically
runs a customized version of Linux and the Web Performance load
engine. This will save everyone loads of time in setting up large
tests.
Advanced Server Analysis for .NET
The newest Advanced Server
Analysis
module monitors the performance
of your .NET server, integrating the statistics into a load test
report. This works in
conjunction to the the existing Windows OS module, but concentrates on
application server statistics rather then operating system statistics. Customers who own the Windows OS version of Advanced licenses are being
offered a 50% discount on this new module for a limited time, so contact
us for more details.
Support Contract Customers
Customers with a current support contract have already received the updated licenses. (Contact customer service if you haven’t received your license yet.) Everyone else has the
option of
either bringing their support up to date
or purchasing the new version for 75% off
of list
price.
Note that the Advanced Server Analysis for .NET
is a separate product module, and thus not included on previous support
contracts, but its price will be the same as the other ASA modules.
