The WPT File
File handling in Web Performance TrainerTM is conceptually exactly
the same as in any file-based program such as Microsoft Word.
You can start doing things in the program, but until you save
the changes to file, the current state of the program will be
lost when you exit. The file extension the program uses is ".wpt",
which will allow you to distinguish files meant for Web Performance
Trainer from other files in your directories.
The WPT file contains the entire state of the program, including business cases,
and load profile settings, the results from the performance tests, and graphs. Keeping all of the data in a single
file means you don't have to manage multiple files for all of the different data types.
The File Menu
The File Menu, along with the related buttons on the button bar,
contains all of the functions you will need to manage files in
Web Performance TrainerTM. It has the following features:
|

| New |

| Import->Business Cases |
You can import business cases from other WPT files. You will be prompted to select
a file ending in ".wpt". All of the business cases in the selected file will be imported into the program. |
| Import->Form Data |
This imports a series of data values for use in form data replacement. |
| Quit |
Exits the program, first prompting the user to see if you wish to save the current
state of the program before exiting. |
