Download the Installer
All you have to do to get Web Performanced
Trainer free is to register.
You'll receive email with a demo license key which is good for a 15 day free trial with 25 virtual users. Once you have
the license key you'll need to download the installer.
Pick a Test Machine or Machines
In order to run Web Performance TrainerTM you'll need to have a computer
running one of the supported operating systems at the specified patch level, and have a high-speed network connection
between the web server you'll be testing and the machine where Web Performance TrainerTM is installed.
This will insure that the performance statistics being collected are the result of your back-end performance and not
the result of network limitations.
Starting with version 2.2, Web Performance TrainerTM can now
use multiple playback engines on multiple computers to generate very large loads
on a web server. Each test machine should be at least a 200MHz system with 64 megabytes
of free memory. For more details please look at the hardware requirements
The installer should be run on the machine that you intend to use as the controller, and then again on any additional
machines that will participate in generating virtual users.
