Update Instructions
How to upgrade to a new version, i.e. 3.1 to 3.2 from an existing 3.1 installation. Anyone on a release prior to 3.0 must download and run the complete installer.
Check for Valid 3.4 License
- Window->Preferences. Click on + next to Web Performance and select Licenses.
- Click on the License in the window.
- The version code must be 3.4.XXX or higher (where XXX is any number). If the license is 3.1.XXX (or lower) you must first obtain a 3.2 license before proceeding.
THIS PROCEDURE IS ONLY FOR CUSTOMERS WITH A VALID 3.4 LICENSE. IF YOU UPDATE WITHOUT A VALID LICENSE THE SOFTWARE WILL NOT OPERATE. CONTACT THE SALES DEPARTMENT IF YOU NEED A NEW LICENSE.
Configure Version Upgrade
- Window->Preferences. Click on Install/Update
- Select compatible (1.09->1.1.0 - service and minor increments.)
- Note: this MUST be turned off after the upgrade to avoid upgrading to a version to which you don't have a valid license.
Install New Version
1. Help->Software Updates->Find and Install 2. Select "Search for updates of currently installed features" and click on the Finish button.
3. Make sure "Web Performance Analyzer Update" is checked and click on Next button.
4. Read the feature license and click "I accept the terms in the license agreement" and click on the Next button.
5. On the Verification dialog click "Install All".
6. When it asks you to restart click on Yes and then restart the program.
Un-configure Version Upgrade
This is optional, but strongly recommended if you are not on a support contract and will not automatically receive new license keys.
- Window->Preferences. Click on Install/Update
- Select equivalent (1.0.1->1.0.2 - only service increments.)
